When and where do you meet?

Every month a chapter meeting is held on the first Tuesday of the month.  Venues change depending upon the topic.  Previous venues have been member’s homes, Schlow Library and Wegmans Cafe.

What kinds of activities does the group do?

¬        Playgroups

Every month we have playgroups that alternate weekly on Mondays and Tuesdays. Mothers in the group host each week, so the venue is constantly changing. Once summer arrives, we meet weekly at a public pool and a park on different days.

¬        Parent and Child Outings

Our monthly outings are arranged for parents and children to enjoy something fun together.  For example, every fall we go to Ways Fruit Farm and Harner Farm for tours.  We have annual Halloween and Holiday parties and a Family Picnic in the summer.

¬        Moms Nights Out

Moms Nights Out are arranged to allow members to get some alone time with friends. BUNCO is currently our most popular night out.  Other types of nights out are: dinner at a local restaurant, movies, crafting or scrap booking, an annual New Years party, and any other fun thoughts that members suggest.

¬        Service Projects

We are currently working on setting up a more formal service commitment for group members to get involved with.  We have recently become a CRPR Park Partner and we are looking into other areas in the community that we can donate our time to helping.  In the past and currently, we have helped provide baked goods to different non- profit organizations for bake sales and dinners to mothers in the group in times of need.

How much does membership cost?

Membership costs $45.  $15 goes to the National Organization and $30 goes directly to the local chapter to help pay for administration of the group and the larger annual events that we hold.

Can I attend an event before joining the group?

Yes.  You may attend one children’s activity (play group or an outing) and one Moms Night Out in order to meet our members and determine if the group is right for you.

How can I get more involved with the group?

This organization is run through members that volunteer for specific positions to ensure it operates smoothly throughout the year.  Positions typically are held for a year, although some mothers have been known to stay within a position for longer periods of time.  When positions are soon to be vacant, leaders will announce the position and provide a description of its duties.
